What is the difference between "cat" and "cat+ner"

In "cat" tasks participants are given the entity boundaries as input, the prediction output is normalization (categories) only. In "cat+ner" tasks, participants are given the text only, the prediction output is entity boundaries and their normalization (categories). 

Geographical in entity categorization task

Question? Looking at all the *.a1 files the only types of annotations are Title, Paragraph, Bacteria, and Habitat, should there not be annotations for geographical places ?

Answerthe entity categorization task does not involve Geographical entities, but only Bacteria and Habitat entities.
